INDIANAPOLIS — Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana is asking for the public's help to support its COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

According to a release from Goodwill, the fund will provide "critical support for the most immediate needs of the thousands of Hoosiers employed and served by Goodwill."

Goodwill announced March 20 it was closing all of its retail stores as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The closure has resulted in strain to the organization and the 2,500 employees who were furloughed as a result.

The Goodwill Foundation is providing up to $500,000 in matching funds to support the effort.
