NASHVILLE — Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb apologized after a picture was posted online of him not wearing a mask with other people.
RTV6 has not been able to locate the original post with the photo, however, screenshots of the post are being shared on social media.
Screenshots of the photo show Holcomb with two other people close to him. None of the people in the photo were wearing masks or face coverings.
Hoosiers are encouraged to wear a face mask or covering when in public, according to current state health recommendations and social distancing recommendations.
A restaurant in Nashville was tagged in the post, screenshots show.

“I spent the night at the Governor’s residence in Brown County. I ordered take out for dinner and ran in to pick it up, leaving my mask in the car. It was a lapse in my usual vigilance. I should have gone back out to the car to get my mask. My apologies to all the healthcare professionals and Hoosiers who are working so hard to slow the spread. This is been a timely reminder that even a six second snap of a picture requires following the doctors’ recommendation to wear a mask while in public. Lesson learned.”
