INDIANAPOLIS — In-person services at Catholic churches in Indiana will resume by May 30, according to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
There are five dioceses in Indiana and each one will outline restrictions and guidelines to help keep people safe, Indianapolis Catholic Archbishop Charles Thompson said in a statement.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said Wednesday in-person religious services won't be allowed this weekend. Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb's plan allows for in-person religious services to resume Friday.

The exemption from the obligation to participate in Sunday mass has been extended until Aug. 15 in Indiana.
