INDIANAPOLIS -- A mother at the center of an Amber Alert earlier this week was charged Thursday with attempted murder after police say she sent videos to the child’s father showing her hurting their 1-year-old son along with multiple threats that she was going to kill the child.

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday for Mekielle Pullins, 22, after police say she abducted three children. The children were safely located at the home of one of Pullins' friends later that evening.

Indianapolis Department of Child Services had been attempting to locate Pullins and her children after they received word on July 14 that she had threatened to kill her child. DCS did not report the children missing to police until Tuesday, July 18.

Pullins is accused to sending multiple emails to the father of her two youngest children, David Daniel, threatening to kill their 1-year-old son and saying things like "He's worthless n I hate him' and "I can molest him or sell him & U won't do s**t 2 stop me."

Daniel also showed detectives videos that Pullins sent of her abusing the child.

According to court documents, the video showed Pullins standing in a bathroom with one hand completely covering the mouth and nose her son while he struggled to get free, pressing the back of his head against her body. During the 10-second video, Pullins' "suffocating grasp" was so strong that it supported the child's weight and his feet were dangling in the air.

Detectives say some of the other emails they found talked about how much Pullins hated the infant and how she would kill him if Daniel didn't come get him and take care of him.

"I will kill him tonight if you don't get him."

"Ima keep f***king him up."

“Get your baby before I kill him.”

"Bout to call police so they can come get his body. Explain to him in the next lifetime why he died.”

An investigation was already underway into Pullins' actions after Daniel said she hit him in the face and head with a cell phone, causing serious injury to his eye that required surgery and may result in loss of vision in that eye.

Police have still not been able to locate Pullins and a warrant has been issued for her arrest for attempted murder of her 1-year-old.

If you have any information on where she might be you should call IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
