FBI seeks public's help identifying suspect in downtown Indianapolis bank robbery

INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives with the Indianapolis FBI Violent Crime Task Forces requested the public's assistance in identifying a person believed to have robbed a downtown Indianapolis bank on Monday.

The suspected is described to be a black male, around 5'7 to 5'8 tall and 178 pounds. In the surveillance photo captured, the male appears to be wearing a Pacers baseball cap, a navy colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

On Monday afternoon, just before 1:30 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the Huntington Bank in the first block of North Pennsylvania Street. When officers arrived, they were told that a black male presented a robbery demand note and then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Indianapolis FBI is conducting an active investigation into this incident.
