SPICELAND, Ind. -- Three Henry County men were arrested Sunday on charges of murder and robbery in connection to two shootings in Spiceland, Indiana.

The shootings happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 6200 block of South County Road 325 West in Spiceland.

Deputies arrived to find Chancellor Smith and Jessie Fulton, both 23, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Smith was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Fulton was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with serious injuries.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that a third man, 27-year-old Tyler Pennington, had also been shot at that location.

Deputies eventually arrested Pennington and two other men – 26-year-old Camron Perkins and 24-year-old Devin Asberry – on preliminary charges of murder and robbery in connection to the shootings.

An autopsy for Smith was scheduled for Monday at the Marion County Coroner's Office.
