INDIANAPOLIS — A police chase of a suspected stolen vehicle late Thursday afternoon ended in a wreck at a busy Hendricks County intersection.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, IMPD officers and deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Department joined in the chase on the city's west side.

IMPD eventually pulled out of the pursuit, while the sheriff's department continued to follow the vehicle into Hendricks County.

The chase ended at Ronald Reagan Parkway and Stafford Road in Plainfield when the vehicle being chased wrecked.

The crash involved other vehicles, but it was not clear how many, and it created a major traffic jam at the busy intersection, which is just a short distance from I-70 and near Indianapolis International Airport.

At least one arrest was made.
