INDIANAPOLIS — College can be expensive, but what if there was a way to get a bachelor's degree in half the time while saving money?

That's exactly what Martin University is doing for Hoosier students.

The university's Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program, allows students to earn college credit for life and work experiences.

You pick the courses you think match with the knowledge you already have. Then over the course of your studies you can create a portfolio with written presentations, narrative and evidence to support that knowledge and background in your subject area.

Students can earn up to 60 college credits through the PLA program and save thousands of dollars in the process.

PLA is a hybrid course, so students will attend lectures, but most of your studies will involve course work done off campus.

For more information visit the Martin University website.
