12-year-old boy missing from Lafayette found safe

LAFAYETTE — Lafayette police are looking for a missing 12-year-old who was last seen Wednesday.

According to information from the Lafayette Police Department, Dantrell Malone is 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and has short curly black hair and brown eyes. Malone was last seen carrying a pink and silver purse.

Malone was last seen at noon Wednesday and is believed to be a runaway, Lafayette police said.
