MUNCIE — Ball State University says it's investigating an incident in class involving a professor and a student.

The video was posted by another student in a marketing class on Tuesday. The student says Ball State University Police were called by the instructor, supposedly because another student refused a request to move to a different seat.

You can watch the video in the player above.

When the video became public, a student using the twitter handle @TheRealMufvsa_ said that he was the student who had the police called on him, telling Ball State he was disappointed.

Later Tuesday, the official Ball State twitter account responded. The statement said they were aware of the incident and were reviewing it.

The school said, "Anytime a student does not have an excellent student experience, we care deeply and review the matter thoroughly."

In an email Wednesday, the university provided an additional statement:

Anytime something like this occurs on our campus, the University works to understand what happened and how we can improve based on what we learn. This includes talking with those who were involved and putting into place those measures that will prevent future situations. In this particular situation, in addition to talking with those involved and putting educational and preventative measures in place, the faculty members also sent his own apology to the students in the class. As an institution, we will use this situation to learn and to improve.
