BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A man was killed after a tractor flipped and rolled over on top him Monday morning in Bartholomew County.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the 8800 block of S. County Road 300 E just before 10:30 a.m.
Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting says David Eckert, 38, was using a tractor to fill a hole with gravel and was positioned on a steep incline when his load shifted, causing the tractor to roll.
Eckert was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.
