BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- The public is encouraged to come out and line the route of Dep. Pickett's funeral procession on Friday:

From Connection Point Church Brownsburg:

  • SR 267 (Green St.) South
  • To SR 136 (Main St.) East
  • To Odell St South
  • To CR 400 N (Airport Rd.) East
  • To Ronald Reagan Parkway North
  • To 56th St. West
  • To Northfield Dr. North
  • To SR 267 North
  • To Boone County

Lebanon:

  • SR 267 north to Perry Worth Rd
  • North on Perry Worth Rd. to CR 100 South
  • West onto Indianapolis Ave
  • North to Main St. West
  • To Meridian St. North
  • To Washington St. West
  • To SR 39 (Lebanon St.) South
  • To I-65 South

Whitestown/Zionsville:

  • I-65 South to Exit 138
  • South on Indianapolis Road

Indianapolis:

Dep. Pickett will be buried at the Heroes of Public Safety site at Crown Hill Cemetery.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office says they are accepting donations payable to the Jacob Pickett Memorial Fund. All donations can be brought to either the Boone County Sheriff’s Office or to any KeyBank (c/o Deputy Jake Pickett Memorial Fund) or at the following PayPal link . They do not currently endorse any GoFundMe pages and will not be soliciting for any donations. If you are solicited for a donation, you're asked to call police. 

The sheriff's office has also asked that anyone wishing to bring food give them a heads up. They wrote the following on Facebook Tuesday morning:

"There have been many generous donations of food to the BCSO. We are extremely appreciative. In the future, if you wish to bring in food, please email: admin@co.boone.in.us so they can create a timeline for you to bring it in. This way there isn’t an overabundance of food going to waste."
