INDIANAPOLIS — Bridge reconstruction will mean detours on a busy northeast side Indianapolis road starting Monday, August 3.
The Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) will close Fall Creek Road west of Johnson Road to replace the bridge over Blue Creek. Fall Creek Road is expected to fully reopen in mid-November.
During the closure, the detour will use Kessler Boulevard East Drive, Binford Boulevard, East 71st Street and Hague Road to reconnect with Fall Creek.
The approximately $850,000 project will replace the existing bridge with a single-span reinforced concrete slab structure.
