INDIANAPOLIS -- The State of Indiana has been in contact with Carrier to offer services to employees.
Those services include: Job training, career counseling, resume workshops, interview classes, and assistance with job placement.
Carrier employees can go to any local WorkOne office to file for unemployment insurance benefits.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett is also pledging to help employees. Last week, he issued an executive order to create a task force to assemble local, state and federal resources, and every tool available, to help the employees.

He says the city will leave "no stone unturned" to make the transition for the employees as smooth as possible.
"We are working in a dedicated and concerted way to make sure that people adversely impacted come out on the high side," Hogsett said.
Congressman Andre Carson said he has spoken with Carrier representatives. He said employees will have the opportunity to obtain student loan aid up to four years.
