INDIANAPOLIS — In an effort to clear their still-full shelter, Indianapolis Animal Care Services is offering free adoptions through the weekend.
Starting Thursday, August 15, and running through Sunday, August 18, you can adopt any animal on the floor for free, including sweet Maxine in the photo below.
If you're looking to adopt a new family member, you can visit IACS during their open business hours.
Indianapolis Animal Care Services Normal Hours of Operation:
- Monday: 10am-6pm
- Tuesday: 10am-6pm
- Wednesday: CLOSED
- Thursday: 10am-7pm
- Friday: 10am-6pm
- Saturday:10am-6pm
- Sunday: 10am-6pm
- The shelter is closed on all City holidays.

If you don’t want to adopt, the shelter is also looking for help in the form of fosters and volunteers to help walk dogs, feed animals and help clean the shelter.
