CLINTON COUNTY—A bridge construction project on I 65 northwest of Indianapolis in Clinton County will lead to traffic delays in coming days.

Northbound 65 south of State Road 28 will be reduced to one lane so repairs can be made to the Potato Creek Bridge. The work begins Sunday and is expected to last until 9 p.m. on September 27, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

There is an alternate route for drivers heading north. Exit I 65 at the U.S. 52 interchange in Lebanon and head north on 52 to State Road 28. Then turn right on 28 and follow it back to 65. A temporary traffic signal has been installed at the intersection of 52 and 28.

INDOT says the Potato Creek bridge work is part of an $8 million project in the same area of I 65 that will be completed in Agust of 2021.
