KOKOMO — Kokomo police are searching for two suspects after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed late Thursday evening.

Kokomo Police Department officers were called to St. Vincent Hospital around 10:50 p.m. for a report of a person that was brought in with a gunshot wound. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the victim died.

That victim was later identified by the Howard County Coroner's Office as James Gray Jr., 16.

Investigators determined Gray was shot on the northwest side of the city.

They are searching for two suspects but have limited descriptions available at this time.

"The Kokomo Police are urging parents to know the whereabouts of their children. This is the second teenager that has died in the last three weeks due to gun violence," the police department said in a press release issued Friday morning.

Dalton Wayne Fisher, 15, was shot and killed on December 8, 2019 in the 2100 block of Mark Lane.
