17-year-old injured in shooting in Richmond

RICHMOND — A 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital after being shot during an incident in Richmond Wednesday evening.

Richmond Police Department officers were called to the area of Nortwest 2nd and Lincoln streets for a report of a shooting. Police located a 17-year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The teen was taken to Reid Health and later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition is not known at this time but police say he is stable.

Police say the suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie and jeans and witnesses say he fled down toward Northwest 5th Street. Police were not able to locate the suspect and no arrests have been made.
