INDIANAPOLIS -- A 72-year-old woman was attacked late Tuesday night during a robbery on Indianapolis' northeast side.

The robbery happened at about 11:45 p.m. at the LaQuinta Inn near the intersection of 25th Street and Post Road.

A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said two men are suspected in the robbery. One man ran into the front of the hotel, hit the 72-year-old clerk in the face, then took the cash register drawer. No weapons were used.

Police believe the other suspect was the driver. The two suspects were caught when they stopped to get gas at the Marathon station at the intersection of 42nd Street and Post Road.
