INDIANAPOLIS — The case against a 15-year-old boy accused of shooting and killing teen siblings inside their home last week has been filed in juvenile court.
The Marion County Prosecutor filed a petition Tuesday declaring the teen delinquent on the counts of murder, dangerous possession of a firearm and carrying a handgun without a license.

The teen, who is not being identified because he has not been charged as an adult, is accused of shooting and killing Ashlynn Nelson, 15, and her brother, Nicholas Nelson, 16, inside their home in the 4100 block of Windhill Drive on August 23.
The suspect initially ran from the scene and was later identified and arrested by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers.

The details surrounding the cause of the shooting have not been released at this time.
The prosecutor's office said they have requested a waiver to file charges in adult court against the juvenile, but a hearing for that waiver has not been set.
