HOWARD COUNTY — A former paramedic is facing multiple charges for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a minor in Howard and Cass counties.

According to a report from the Indiana State Police, Chad Bowlby, 46, of Russiaville, was arrested Saturday following an investigation by state police.

State police said the investigation began after ISP learned Bowlby had allegedly performed sex acts with a then 14-year-old girl. Troopers said from the summer of 2018 through mid-December 2018, Bowlby allegedly performed sex acts with the girl in Howard and Cass counties.

Bowlby was arrested Saturday, state police said.

Bowlby faces charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, child solicitation and sexual battery in Howard Circuit Court, according to court records.

State police said Bowlby, who worked as a paramedic at the time of the alleged crimes, also faces three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor in Cass County. Troopers said Bowlby worked for a business that provided paramedic and ambulance service to the Cass County area.
