INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police discovered 16-20 pounds of suspected marijuana and $91,000 in cash inside a home where two suspects took shelter during a chase Tuesday.

The chase began around 3:30 p.m. near the Fountain Square area when an officer witnessed a car hitting a dumpster. The officer also noticed the driver of the vehicle was wearing a mask. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the suspects fled in their vehicle.

The suspects led police on a winding chase around the south side, first heading south on McFarland Road and then going east on Edgewood Avenue across I-65. The suspects then turned northbound on Gray Road, eventually turning westbound on Thompson Road and northbound on Carson Avenue before again abruptly turning southbound on Keystone Avenue.

The suspects made several turns into and out of the Dodrill Creek neighborhood near Keystone Avenue and Thompson Road – driving through several yards at one point – before ditching the vehicle near Keystone and Depauw Road.

K-9 units eventually tracked the suspects to a house where police believe one of them lives. They both exited the residence peacefully and were taken into custody without further incident.

On Wednesday, police announced they have arrested three people in connection with the case: Brian Woods, 18; Larry Gross, 41; and Robbie Bratcher, 52.

They also said they had discovered 16-20 pounds of marijuana, 11 guns and more than $91,000 in cash inside the house. Two stolen vehicles were also recovered as part of the investigation.

According to police the car the suspects were driving was stolen out of Franklin last week. The plates were also stolen.
