INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency are conducting a search at a house connected to missing 8-month-old Amiah Robertson.

According to a spokesman for IMPD, there is a plan to search the ground with the assistance of the University of Indianapolis, however, that search is not likely to take place until Tuesday. A search is currently being executed at the residence, the spokesman said.

Police have been to the house in the 200 block of South Holmes Avenue multiple times related to the disappearance of Amiah Robertson. It is the house where Amiah Robertson was believed to last be seen alive.

Neighbors said when police arrived they did some digging in the backyard. RTV6 has also observed a search focused inside a garage that sits on an alley behind the house.

Police have said the investigation is classified a homicide investigation.

Amiah Robertson was reported missing on March 16 and police issued a statewide Silver Alert for her on March 19. Police have asked anyone who saw Robert Lyons, the boyfriend of Amiah's mother, and or Amiah Robertson on March 9, or any day after, in the area of Rockville Road and South Mickley Avenue to contact investigators.
