IMPD searching for vehicle connected to south side double homicide

INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives are looking for a vehicle connected to a double homicide on Oct. 7 on the south side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives are looking for a two-door 2004 cherry red Chevy Monte Carlo with Indiana license plate 485RIV, according to a press release from IMPD.

Gary Miller II, 24, and Lamont Day Jr. 22, were killed around 4:30 p.m. in the 7300 block of Orinoco Avenue, according to the Marion County Coroner's Office.

Anyone who locates the vehicle should call 911 and not approach the occupants, according to the release.

Police are asking anyone with information on the car or the incident to call IMPD homicide detectives at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
