Indiana State Police looking for Hillsboro bank robbery suspect

HILLSBORO — Indiana State Police detectives are looking for a man accused of robbing a bank Friday afternoon in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro Police Department officers and other law enforcement officers were called around 4:30 p.m. to the Centre Bank, in the 100 block of North Water Street, on the report of a robbery, according to a press release from Indiana State Police.

A man walked into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding cash, and indicated he had a gun, according to the release. A weapon was not displayed during the robbery. The man was last seen on foot going north of the bank.

The man is described as being about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with a white hard hat, dark cargo pants, brown gloves, silver wire rim glasses, and possibly had a fake beard, according to the release.
