INDIANAPOLIS — In November of 2018, 19-year-old Liv Harrison died after being stabbed more than two dozen times at a home on the Indianapolis northwest side.
Tuesday, the man who admitted to the crime was sentenced to 45-years in prison.
In a plea deal, 27-year-old Ronald Tucker, who was the victim's boyfriend, pleaded guilty to murder. Three other charges, including criminal confinement, were dismissed.
Police were called to a domestic disturbance at 1716 Stevenson Street where they found Harrison seriously wounded. She died a short time later.
According to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers found Tucker standing near Harrison with a knife in his hand. Police told Tucker to put the knife down. Instead, he cut his own throat and and stabbed himself in the stomach.
