Kokomo police looking for man who robbed two convenience stores

KOKOMO — Kokomo police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed two convenience stores Friday night while armed with a handgun.

Kokomo Police Department officers are looking for a black male, described as having an average build wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black mask covering half of his face, KPD Capt. Tonda Cockrell said in a press release.

Around 9:40 p.m., the man allegedly entered the Village Pantry on East Lincoln Road with a silver and black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash and merchandise from the store, Cockrell said. About an hour later, a man with the same description, entered Casey's General Store on South Webster Street armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

No injuries were reported in either robbery, Cockrell said.
