KOKOMO — The Kokomo Police Department is investigating a home invasion that resulted in a woman being robbed and battered, according to KPD Cpt. Mike Banush.

On Tuesday, KPD officers responded to a call that a female victim found a strange male in her residence at 11:30 a.m. demanding money.

During the incident, the suspect allegedly "battered the female," KPD's report said. The suspect then left the residence, taking several items.

The victim suffered minor injuries that did not require medical treatment, according to KPD.

The suspect did enter through an open door, according to KPD's report.

This case remains active, and KPD is asking for the public's help in locating the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5' 6", weighing 170 pounds, and possibly in his late 30s or early 40s. He has dark eyebrows, a bushy dark beard with gray in it, and was wearing an olive green jacket, dark pants, and a gray knitted sock hat.

Anyone with information to this case is asked to contact Banush at 765-456-7278.
