INDIANAPOLIS — Police said a man has died after he was shot Sunday evening at an apartment complex on the northwest side.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 7:30 p.m. Sunday to the Abington Apartments, near West 52nd Street and Georgetown Road, on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Aaron Hamer said in an email.

When they arrived, they found Larry Cosby, 47, who appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound, an officer at the scene said. He was taken to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in critical condition where he later died.

The incident is believed to have stemmed from an argument between neighbors, the officer said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police or report tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477) or online.
