KOKOMO — A 30-year-old Kokomo man faces charges in the murder of a woman who was shot in the head.

25-year-old Lashay Young-Beard was found dead outside a Kokomo apartment in early February.

At the time, Uriah Levy was arrested and charged with criminal confinement and aggravated battery. But as the investigation unfolded, police found evidence that Levy shot the woman.

It's a complicated case that can only be described as bizarre.

As police responded to the shooting, they also found a man inside the apartment who was in a bathtub and tied up with duct tape. 24-year-old Carl Miller told investigators he had been held in the house for 11-days, during which he was beaten and tortured with hot water.

Two other men allegedly involved in the case were arrested and charged with criminal confinement and aggravated battery.
