MUNCIE — A man fell through a ceiling while Muncie Police Department Narcotics Unit members were serving a search warrant Thursday afternoon.

After a 27-year-old man allegedly sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant in February and March, officers obtained a search warrant for his home, in the 2600 block of East Maumee Avenue, according to court documents. The man's young child was inside the home when he allegedly sold meth to the confidential informant in March.

On Thursday afternoon when officers served the search warrant, the man fell through the ceiling, according to court documents. In the same bedroom where the man was, officers located a broken glass smoking device with a white powder residue, and a smartphone.

The man was preliminary charged with two counts of dealing in methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a child, according to court documents.
