COLUMBUS — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the parking lot of a business in Columbus late Wednesday evening.
Columbus Police Department officers were called to the parking lot of Tool Dynamics on South Marr Road around 11:15 p.m. for a report of a person injured.
Officers arrived and found an adult male lying in the parking lot with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The man, identified as Leonardo Rodriguez-Flores, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later found the man's vehicle in a different parking lot in the 2700 block of State Street.
Investigators are asking anyone who lives or owns a business in the area of State Street that has a video or security camera to contact the Columbus Police Department at 812-376-2600.
The death remains under investigation and cause of death will be determined by the Bartholomew County Coroner.
