Man in critical condition after shooting on northwest side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — A man is in critical condition after a shooting Sunday afternoon on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 4:30 p.m. to the 5300 block of Falcon Creek Way, near West 46th Street and Lafayette Road, on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in an email. When they arrived, they found a man who was shot.

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, an IMPD officer said at the scene.

At this time, police have not released the identity of the victim or any suspects.
