KOKOMO — A man was injured in a shooting Monday evening near downtown Kokomo.
Kokomo Police Department detectives are investigating after a man was shot around 5:30 p.m. on East Jackson Street, near downtown Kokomo, KPD Maj. Brian Seldon said in an email.
The man was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis by a medical helicopter, Seldon said. His exact condition is unknown at this time.
The identities of the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
