INDIANAPOLIS — A man was killed in a stabbing near a gas station on Indianapolis' east side on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 1400 block of East Washington Street at around 12:21 p.m. Tuesday on report of a stabbing.

Police said the victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The victim later died from his injuries.
An officer said the victim was in an argument with another man over cigarettes when he was stabbed. The suspect has not been identified or located, police said.
