Man turns himself in to police, says he killed man found near White River

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man turned himself in to police Saturday afternoon, saying he killed another man in Indianapolis. 

The body of Dae Mehm, 19, was found Thursday morning near the rail bridge that crosses the White River at Waterway Boulevard and White River Parkway Drive. 

At the time it was found, police were not sure whether foul play was involved.

But a man, identified by police as Mr. Hae Di, turned himself in to Marion County Sheriff deputies. Police believe the victim and the suspect were in a fight that ended in Mehm's death. 

Mr. Hae Di was arrested on preliminary charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, and battery.
