Murder in Kokomo: Man found in yard, "battered with severe injuries," police say

KOKOMO — Kokomo police are asking for the public's help in finding the killer of a 50-year-old man.

Anthony DeWayne Hardimon was found in just after midnight Saturday in the yard of a house at in the 1800 block of North Jay Street on Kokomo's north side. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The Kokomo Police Department said the man was "battered with severe injuries." The Howard County Coroner performed an autopsy on Hardimon on Monday, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
