MARION — One person is dead and one person is injured after a double shooting early Sunday morning in Marion.
Marion Police Department officers were called around 4:15 a.m. to the 4000 block of Wildoner Drive on the report of a possible shooting, MPD Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey said in a press release. Officers later found two people who were shot.
One victim later died, Dorsey said. The other victim was flown by a medical helicopter to a hospital in Fort Wayne.
Detectives are still investigating what led to the incident.
The identities of the victims or any possible suspects have not been released.
Grant County Sheriff's deputies assisted MPD officers with the incident, Dorsey said.
