INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorist Saturday night on the south side of Indianapolis.
A man was hit around 11 p.m. near Madison Avenue and East Thompson Road, according to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Genae Cook, an IMPD public information officer, said the driver stayed on the scene and alcohol use is not suspected.
Investigators believe the victim crossed the street and not at a crosswalk or intersection.
