INDIANAPOLIS — A man was shot and killed early Friday evening on the Indianapolis north side.
The incident happened just after 6 p.m. in the 4000 block of North Boulevard Place. That's just north of West 38th Street near Crown Hill Cemetery.
Police arrived and quickly called for additional officers to help with a crowd gathering at the shooting scene.
Homicide detectives were asked to come to Boulevard Place while officers at the scene began talking to possible witnesses.
The man was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital but did not survive.
Additional information about the victim and whether police have identified a suspect has not been released.
