FISHERS — Police in Fishers say there is no viable threat at Fishers Junior High School after they were notified about a threatening message sent over Snapchat.

Fishers Police say they were able to quickly locate the juvenile responsible for the alleged threat with the help of school officials. That juvenile and his parents are cooperating with their investigation and police say the threat is not credible.

Police say the weekend scare reinforces their effort to encourage kids and parents that if they "see something, say something."

"The Fishers Police Department and Hamilton Southeastern Schools work very closely to ensure the safety of students and staff," Fishers Police said on Facebook. "We will continue to aggressively investigate any and all threats to our schools. We very much appreciate the individual that first brought this concern to our attention. This incident was a perfect example of See Something, Say Something and the effectiveness of immediate notification."

Police have not said if the student will face any disciplinary action.
