Police: Woman caught stealing $2,400 of clothes in stroller

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A 31-year-old woman was arrested in Columbus, Indiana after she stole more than $2,000 worth of clothes in her child's stroller, police say.

According to the Columbus Police Department, a security officer at the Kohl's at 711 Creekview Drive saw the woman stealing items at about 5:40 p.m. Friday and called police. 

The woman was seen walking along a nearby street with her young child. Police found more than $2,400 in clothes inside the stroller. The security officer also noted they found another $383 in the store damaged during the incident. 

The woman was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft.
