INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis police officer arrested last week in a domestic violence case is accused of having a history of abuse with his victim.
The Marion County Prosecutor has released a probable cause report which details the accusations against IMPD Officer Mittan Katoch, a four-year veteran of the department.

Katoch was taken into custody at his south side home after a relative of the victim called police. According to the probable cause, a woman who lived at the house told police Katoch had been "very drunk" when he pushed her off a sofa as she slept and had ripped her shirt.
The victim said Katoch, on a number of occasions, had dragged her around the house by her hair and shoved her face and neck into a wall. She also said Katoch had threatened to shoot her.
Katoch is suspended from IMPD for now. Formal charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury have been filed.
