INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead following a late night shooting Monday on the Indianapolis northeast side.
According to a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 2400 block of East 35th Street. That's near North Keystone Avenue and East 34th Street.
The victim, identified as an adult male, was dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Police arrived and began to look for witnesses to the shooting, hoping to determine what led up to it.
It was the second fatal shooting in the city in about 10 hours. Earlier, a man was shot and killed near West 38th Street and North High School Road.
