GREENFIELD — The man charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Hancock County one year ago is pleading guilty.

67-year-old Terry Huff of Anderson was riding his bike on State Road 234 in Hancock County last July when he was hit.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Jonathan Jacobi of Markleville, who was driving the vehicle that struck Huff, did not stop. He was eventually arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death or catastrophic injury.

Now, Jacobi is pleading guilty, rather than face trial. If a judge accepts the plea Jacobi will be sentenced September 21.

A crash investigator found pieces of a pickup truck at the crash scene. There was also security camera video from a home near the crash scene. With that evidence, the vehicle was located at a body shop and traced to Jacobi.
