Three arrested in connection with drive-by shooting after police investigate attack in Tipton

TIPTON — Three people were arrested Wednesday in connection with a drive-by shooting in November in Tipton County after police were called to investigate an alleged attack.

Deputies with the Tipton Police Department were called Wednesday evening to the 400 block of North West Street investigate a reported attack, according to a Facebook post from the Tipton Police Department. Officers located a vehicle allegedly involved in the Country Living Mobile Home Park and found evidence of robbery, battery, kidnapping and marijuana possession while investigating.

A 24-year-old man, of Kokomo, was arrested in connection with the incident and was charged with the suspicion of robbery while armed with a deadly weapon resulting in bodily injury, kidnapping while armed with a deadly weapon resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon resulting in bodily injury, battery with a deadly weapon and intimidation with a deadly weapon, according to the post.

Officers also arrested two more people in connection with a November drive-by shooting at the mobile home park after receiving information during the investigation into the attacks, according to the post.

No injuries were reported during the shooting, which authorities believe the shooting was related to a drug debt, according to the post.

The 24-year-old Kokomo man, was also charged with conspiracy to commit murder and criminal recklessness in connection with the November incident.

Police also arrested a 19-year-old man, of Tipton, and a 20-year-old man, of Kokomo, in connection with the drive-by shooting, according to the post. They were both charged on the suspicion conspiracy to commit murder and criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon.
