INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after three people were shot Tuesday night on the north side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 9:30 p.m. to the 3100 block of Boulevard Place on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in an email. When they arrived, they found two women and a man who appeared to be shot.

All of the victims are in stable condition, Hewitt said.

The victims were in the back of the house when a person walking in the alley shot into the home, striking three people, IMPD Capt. Robert Trout said at the scene.

Detectives are following up on leads and are working to identify a suspect, Trout said.

Additional details surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
