WEST LAFAYETTE — Two men were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning near Purdue University's campus in West Lafayette.
West Lafayette Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 2:15 a.m. to the Hub On Campus, 111 S. Salisbury St., on the report of shots fired, WLPD Lt. Jonathon Eager said. When they arrived, officers located a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital.
While officers were on scene investigating, they learned an acquaintance took another victim suffering from a gunshot wound to a local hospital, Eager said.
The conditions or the identities of the victims have not been released.
Around 3 a.m., an emergency alert was issued by Purdue University.

Police have not released any details on a possible motive or suspects.
Detectives are still investigating the incident.
