JOHNSON COUNTY — A pair of young, un-weaned puppies were stolen right from their mother at the Humane Society of Johnson County over the weekend.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says the puppies were stolen on Saturday, May 25 around 4 p.m. when someone entered the building through the outdoor kennel and took the 4 to 5-week-old pit bull puppies. Shelter staff told deputies that all four puppies were with their mother around 1 p.m. and when another worker checked on them around 3:15 p.m., two of the puppies were missing.

The first puppy is a blue and white female and the second puppy is a tan male with a black dot on his tail.
