INDIANAPOLIS — Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who destroyed a local gas station on Indianapolis' northeast side over a $10 hold charge on her credit card.

The incident was caught on security camera at the Shell gas station in the 3400 block of North Sherman Drive.

Detective Ivan Ivanov with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department shared the diveo on Next Door, asking for help in identifying the woman above.

Police say the woman in the video walked up to the cash register around 6 p.m. on Friday, August 30, and asked to put $10 on pump four, but made a mistake and went back inside to change it to pump 5.

The clerk told her it would take 24 hours for the charge to be reversed back to her credit card so she got angry and started tearing down shelves and breaking the doors, according to police.

Police say the woman caused an estimated $2,500 to $3,000 in damages inside the store.

If you have any information about her identification contact IMPD detective Ivan Ivanov at 317-327-6127 or ivan.ivanov@indy.gov.
